Johansen Ranch is a historic, family-owned citrus farm located in Orland, California (about 100 miles north of Sacramento). Established in 1910, it is famous for being the northernmost citrus-growing operation in the United States, utilizing a unique microclimate in the Sacramento Valley to produce exceptionally sweet fruit.

In a major development in early 2025, the ranch was acquired by Organically Grown Company (OGC), a longtime partner and distributor, to preserve the land's organic legacy as the family transitioned into retirement.

The ranch began moving away from chemicals in the 1960s because the family matriarch was highly allergic to pesticides. Under the guidance of ranch manager Ned Wilson (of Cherokee descent) and organic legend "Amigo Bob" Cantisano, they became certified organic pioneers long before it was a mainstream trend.
