About Us

Chaotic Good Farms is a half acre mixed vegetable farm founded in late 2024, the realization of a long-held dream. Farmer and owner Beth was born and raised in Seattle and comes from a long lineage of Wisconsin farmers. Her late aunt and uncle, Crystal and Ulrich Bloecher, owned Hilltop Produce Farm, which served the Twin Cities’ finest restaurants and the St. Paul Farmers Market for 20+ years.

After nearly a decade as a stay-at-home parent to three wonderful kids, Beth is thrilled to have finally fulfilled her dream of starting her own farm in the PNW. She is eager to carry on that tradition here in the Pacific Northwest. Beth aims to promote the accessibility of local, organic produce to low-income and disabled people, who can face additional barriers affording and preparing fresh produce. Beth's farming ethos is informed by her deep appreciation for and awe of the natural world. By using organic and regenerative methods, she seeks to farm reciprocally with the land, giving back to nature as much as it gives to us.

Practices

Chaotic Good Farms is located in Woodinville, WA, next to the Sammamish River. The farm is situated on Coast Salish land, alive with singing frogs, insect-hungry bats, coyotes, bunnies and more. Using practices that promote biodiversity, increase soil health, and attract pollinators, Chaotic Good strives to steward this land with love and care for all the creatures who depend on it.

Chaotic Good is located on certified organic land and as such, no synthetic chemicals or fertilizers are used. Regenerative agriculture principles are utilized to build soil health, including minimal tillage, crop rotation, cover cropping and maximizing crop diversity. A portion of the plot is devoted to growing flowers to create pollinator habitat, attracting bees, butterflies, and predatory insects to help control pests.
