Darron Marzolf, a fourth-generation butcher, began producing pet food in 2014 during widespread recalls, aiming to create the highest quality Alpha Raw diet with locally sourced animals. The Snohomish Butcher Shop, operating for over 50 years, became USDA-certified between 2020 and 2024, allowing streamlined processing for diverse product lines and supporting small farms.

The business also operates Falling River Meats, a retail butcher shop in North Bend, Washington, which won *425 Magazine's* “Best Deli” award in 2025. The company prioritizes small farms, ensuring the community access to nutrient-rich, ethically handled meats and help keep a robust food economy in the Seattle area.

We prioritize the use of whole muscle as well as all essential organs, facilitating the full utilization of the animal, which aligns with our sustainability practices. By sourcing from smaller farmers, we are able to minimize our carbon footprint and avoid participation in the industrial meat industry.
