About Us
Just outside Corvallis, Oregon, Jeremy and Ashli Mueller cultivate immaculate rows of organic salad greens in careful succession to supply grocery stores and restaurants with terrific leaves from June through October. The couple began farming together in the early 2010s at Excelsior Farm just outside Eugene and grew over fifty different varieties of vegetables and herbs on a few carefully managed acres. In 2020, the Muellers purchased 24 acres of Denison Farm, certified organic since 1988, from OGC’s long time partners Tom and Elizabeth Denison after they decided to retire in 2020.
Practices
With the move, Jeremy and Ashli‘s operation became Commonplace Farm, named for a collection of essays by writer and farmer Wendell Berry. Wanting to streamline their operation and seeing a gap in the market for Northwest grown salad, they shifted their focus away from diversified veggies and invested in specialized equipment to grow an array of great greens. Just a few years later, their high quality bulk and recognizable bagged salad mixes, arugula and spinach have dedicated fans up and down the West Coast.
