We’re Cabrera Farms, a family-run organic vegetable and berry farm in Skagit Valley, WA. Our journey started in 2016, but our roots in farming go much deeper. Francisco grew up in Oaxaca, Mexico, and got his start in strawberry production in California before we moved to Washington in 2007. After nearly a decade managing Skagit Flats Farm, we took the leap and started our own farm through Viva Farms. Now, we grow a variety of organic vegetables—lettuce, zucchini, squash, cucumbers, green beans, cabbage, and more—on ten acres. Each season, we continue to expand, with Francisco always eager to grow more lettuce! Zochitl leads the marketing side of our business, helping connect our farm with the community. Our daughters, Belén and Aidet, are the heart of everything we do. We work hard with the hope of one day sending them to college. When we’re not on the farm, we love spending time with family, relaxing by the river, and always finding new ways to learn and grow.
